Put Up Your Feets

Mom and Dad made it into Dallas today for the first of several appointments and tests to determine how effective last month's chemo treatment was. Mom will be checked into the hospital tomorrow and we think she will be released over the weekend after completing a second round of chemo.

Only because of the recent Hotel Medical City experience do we think it is okay to allow Mom to go into the hospital without a precise treatment plan. As long as the food is good and they get the corner room with a great view, I guess we can deal with a bit of uncertainty.

I sent Mom an e-card tonight that encourages her to "Relax, Put Up Your Feets ... Think Sunny Thoughts Today."

Cancer is not a prerequisite for taking that advice. Hope you have a chance to enjoy the *cool* sub-100 degree temps this week. :-)

Cheers
Mica

I pray everything will go well, and I hope you will be up to doing a few Calculus problems soon. You are a strong and courageous woman! I know with God's help anything is possible, after all he is the great physician. Peace be with you,

Thanks, Mica, for your updates. We look forward to them, to help us keep up to date with Paula.
Now let us all screw our courage to the sticking place, and help Paula through another week with our thoughts and prayers.

I'm praying hard that this round goes well and that the chemo is eating up those bad cells. I appreciate Mica's updates and the chuckles we all get from them.
I hope that you got a corner room and that the food still tastes good.
    Love, Mary Gail

Good morning. I hope that this morning brings another day of moving forward and success in the efforts that lead to your full recovery! I pray for you all daily.
Paula, let me know if you need a ride on Saturday! You know, John, that football game is NOT the National Championship yet. The "Mean Green"?? I'm sure they're just hoping they won't be shutout by the Longhorns!
    As always...keep the faith.

Hope all is going well and be a strong fighter. Last night the evening service was Psalms 23:1 "The Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want." May you not "want", may He supply all your needs. Kick back and try to enjoy.

    Dear Whilhites,

Love your family and think of you often. You're so beautiful; may God always hold you in the palm of his hand.
