Go Hogs!
Today Mom has officially transitioned from Thalidomide to Velcade. No doubt about it - we are Moving Forward.
Mom and Dad drove to Dallas today for this first appointment of Mom's with the new chemotherapy treatment. They also were able to spend time talking to Dr. Collins - another oncologist on the UT Southwestern staff. We are not 100% sure, but we think this discussion will give us some insight to our choice between staying the course or making some changes. We'll have to consult with Pharmacist Erin, though, before making any decisions. She always seems to know how to pronounce the words we hear in when talking to the doctors. :-)
As of this evening, Mom is still feeling well. In fact, so well, that she made a point to stop by an Aveda store to pick up a few items. I don't think you can be feeling too bad if you have the desire to keep your hair looking and smelling like Rosemary Mint. :-)
Everyone was working this evening so we didn't have time for dinner. So, Dad made a point of scouting out an Irish pub near downtown to visit on Friday - an important day in the Wilhite house because it is Mom's next appointment, Arkansas plays at 11:30 AM at the American Airlines Center, Texas plays ~9:00 PM at the same venue, and it is St. Patty's Day.
Here's wishing you the Luck of Irish this week and all year long.
And may the Razorbacks win the 2006 NCAA National Championship!
Cheers
Mica

Razorbacks?
I thought you were a real Texan. I know that I am a graduate of Texas Tech which did not make the list at all.
NOW, I know why you kiss a pig. You love rooting in the mud with them.
Remember I like to tess.
Love, Natile

Wish graduates of TT could spell tease and could put "ed" on kiss. I guess that is why I did not major in English.

Hi Mica,
Well, I'm sorry that Bucknell just beat Arkansas! It was an awfully good game but the Razorbacks just couldn't pull it off. You'll have to comfort your dad some I guess. Remember, there's always next year. Here's hoping that UT wins tonight!
You know your mom is a fireball of energy! She is apparently feeling so well that she has taken on several extra tasks to help me out at work. She's phenomenal and I can't tell her "thanks" enough. Every day that she is on campus her office door is swamped with people wanting to visit with her to get her advice or help (me included!).
You know we're always thinking of you guys and praying that all your decisions will be easy ones! Keep the faith and happy St. Pat's day!

Thank you for your condolences! After some corn beef and cabbage and Shepherd’s pie, Dad is feeling better ... and so am I!
Go Texas! :-)
